DHS worker charged with domestic abuse
DHS worker accused of abusing teen
Kathryn Jan Davis, 39, a Department of Human Services supervisor in Jackson County, has been accused of scratching her 16-year-old son and trying to stab him in the leg with a fork.
Court documents indicate Davis became upset at her son after he hid a box of wine from her Sunday night.
Davis was arrested for domestic abuse in the presence of a minor. Her 13-year-old daughter was home at the time.
Davis remains in jail pending her arraignment tomorrow. She has not made an initial court appearance, and there was no indication she had an attorney yet.
The domestic abuse charge is a misdemeanor
