CPS has come into my family’s life and completely torn it apart. Two years ago I got a call from a caseworker stating my kids were being taken away. I asked her to let me get a relative over to get them, but her ego and power trip told me it was too late. It was like torture, and I was at work. An investigator came to my home and spoke with my husband, not knowing our fourth amendment rights were revoked once we allowed this woman into our homes, she taunted my husband with questions about child rearing. I promise you these people have child hood issues that are not resolved, therefore use their power against innocent parents and their children. All five of my babies were taken away. I am still fighting two years later. My son , only son, is special needs and is a mere paycheck to this agencies. They have made our lives HELL, and we have done nothing but cooperate with them. Cooperating gets you screwed. We cannot afford a lawyer ( any they charge erroneous rates $4500.00 for about 11.25 hours worth of work on your case. ) It seems like everyone that is suppose to help only is there for profit and gain, don’t care about the children and families. My daughters have been PMC to my mother-in-law, we are working to get that modified. My oldest daughter got two cases in CPS custody and now has been returned to foster care because she was told we couldn’t discipline her and ran wild. CPS is a good agency for legitimate claims, but too many innocent people are getting tangled up in their web. Special needs children are more valuable than healthy children and babies. I’ve learned so much over the past two years. Passed every drug test, background check, alcohol check and completed all services. I’m a beast and love my children, still not backing down. Do know your rights in case CPS comes into your life. Don’t give up and commission friends and family to help with an attorney. CPS is getting Federal Government kickbacks to adopt out children. Do your research. God bless anyone who comes across this site.

if you research, California CWS has performance bases hiring and offers bonuses for how many kids they take and adopt out but there are no incentives for reuniting children with their families

My 4 year old grand daughter, is half black and white, she recently told her mother that her (white) grandfather rubbs on her without using toilet paper. My daughter is a mandated reporter and a mother, and she called CPS immediately. The case is still pending, and she is unable to get any information regarding how the case is coming along. I recently called out of concern for my granddaughters welfare and was told I could not be updated on the case and that the case had been closed! What can my daughter do about this situation?

I came across you site looking for “Ombudsman” information for the Lake Steven’s, WA area. My desire is to get more insite into the Protection and investigation of a minor childs’ complaint of a Grandparent’s in-appropriate touching prompted by the child and their discomfort with these acts. Where do I (we) begin to move this forward in the best interest of the child?

hi. I have had a really emotional and traumatizing ride with cps. you can see my blog at http://www.mychildisnotforsale.wordpress.com I haven’t gotten many visitors to it, but I have videos and links on there that will help people with cps issues(you may have to go back a few pages to find it). My ternination trial is May 14th. There were never any accusations of neglect or abuse. My first and only son was taken at birth. Currently they are using the I’m too “cognitive deficient” to have a child even though they did testing on me Dec. 2011 that showed I am completely average cognitively and don’t have any deficiencies. Im in Washington State and the commissioner has completely ignored the testing results as though the social workers OPINIONS that I am cognitive deficient matter more than what the world holds as pretty much a science— Yes IQ tests are done around the globe!! Solidarity.
